FED:Entsch defends 'kind hearted' Katter

Newly re-elected coalition MP WARREN ENTSCH has rushed to the defence of an independent
MP at the centre of death threat claims.

BOB KATTER's one of three independents who may determine if Labor or the coalition
will form Australia's next federal government.

News Limited newspapers report Mr KATTER threatened to kill Liberal National Party
MP PETER LINDSAY during a heated argument at Townsville Airport in May.

Federal Police say Mr LINDSAY .. who retired from the north Queensland seat of Herbert
at Saturday's election .. did talk to them on May 30 but no formal complaint was made.

Mr ENTSCH says the only thing Mr KATTER'S guilty of is being passionate .. loud and
assertive .. but he's a good-hearted human being.
