Fed: Union leader vows to continue pressing Labor on IR

Left-wing union boss DOUG CAMERON says he'll keep the pressure on Labor leader KEVIN
RUDD .. to ensure his industrial relations policy gives workers a fair go.

The head of the Australian Manufacturing Workers' Union has criticised aspects of Labor's
new IR policy .. notably the requirement of secret ballots before strike action.

Mr RUDD's urged Mr CAMERON to get used to the 21st century .. but Mr CAMERON .. who's
seeking preselection for the Senate .. says debate will continue.

Whatever happens .. he's told the Ten Network the package the ALP takes to the election
will be far fairer than JOHN HOWARD'S extreme industrial legislation.
