EXECUTIVE MOVES

Banking

The Provident Bank has announced two promotions:

* Gregory Dittrich has been promoted to first vice president and regional manager at 17 branches in Morris, Middlesex and Somerset counties. He joined Provident in 2007 as vice president and regional manager after the bank's acquisition of First Morris Bank and Trust. He graduated from the American Bankers Association's National Graduate School of Banking.

* Albert Giobbie has been promoted to first vice president and regional manager of 11 branches in Monmouth and Ocean counties. He joined Provident in 1998 after the bank acquired Monarch Bank, where he had been a senior branch manager. He holds a bachelor's degree from Pace University.

Jim McPaul has joined First Financial Federal Credit Union, in Wall, as assistant vice president of Internet technology. He previously worked at AAA Mid-Atlantic and at Kara Homes. He received a master's degree in management from Thomas Edison State College, and a bachelor's degree in education and social studies from West Chester University.

Biotechnology

Amicus Therapeutics, in Cranbury, has hired Euan A. Lockhart as associate director of intellectual property. He holds a B.S. and M.S. in biochemistry, and a Ph.D. in immunology. He also holds a law degree, which he received from Arizona State University.

Broadcasting

Millennium Radio has promoted Russ DelCore to general sales manager for the company's Shore Cluster, in Monmouth and Ocean counties. He previously was local sales manager. He has worked in the radio industry for more than 20 years, and has been with Millennium for six years.

Health Care

Carman A. Ciervo has been named senior vice president for clinical integration at Kennedy Health System, in Voorhees. He previously served as Kennedy's senior medical director for clinical integration. He holds a D.O. degree from Philadelphia College of Osteopathie Medicine.

Infrastructure

Harry T. Osborne has been named senior associate at Gannett Fleming, in South Plainfield. He has more than 30 years of experience in architectural design. He holds a bachelor's degree in environmental design and a Master of Architecture from Miami University.

Law

Drinker Biddle & Reath LLP has announced three appointments in its FIorham Park office:

* Matthew J. Fedor has been named partner. He is a member of the communications litigation practice group. He received his J. D. from Seton Hall University School of Law, and a B.S. from Rutgers University.

* James M. Fischer has been appointed partner. He is a member of the corporate and securities practice group. He received his J. D. from Seton Hall University School of Law, and his B.A. from Catholic University of America.

*Michael C. Zogby has been named partner. He is a member of the products liability and mass tort practice group. He received his J. D. from the William & Mary School of Law, and his B.A. from St. Joseph's University.

Michael A. Gibson has joined Cooper Levenson, in Atlantic City. He will concentrate on construction and motor vehicle personal injury matters. He received his B.A. from Villanova University, and his J. D. from the Widener University School of Law.

Ellen M. Goodman has joined the Lawrenceville office of Stark & Stark as an associate and member of the firm's community associations group. She concentrates her practice on advising condominiums, cooperatives and horneowner associations on a variety of matters.

Gerard P. Hudak has joined the workers' compensation department at Capehart Scatchard, in Mount Laurel. He represents insurance carriers and employers in the defense of workers' compensation claims.

David I. Rosen has joined Sills Cummis & Gross P.C., in Newark, as chair of the firm's employment and labor practice group.

Position: Vice president, Transitional Medicine - Virology at Roche

Key role: Responsible for driving strategy and implementation of early clinical development for the Virology Discovery and Transitional Area.

Goals: To capitalize on our portfolio of early molecules through innovative clinical trial design and facilitate the efficient development of new drugs.

Previous jobs: Chief medical officer and senior vice president, Global Medical Affairs atValeant Pharmaceuticals International; group director, Global Clinical Research, Virology and Infections Diseases at Bristol-Myers Squibb; and head, Clinical Drug Discovery Virology at GlaxoSmithKline.

Key strengths: An understanding of clinical drug development and a broad medical background.

Career high: Seeing the impact of the drugs that I have developed and their impact on individual human lives.

Next: Hopefully more of the same - it is enormously satisfying to bring drugs to the patients who need them.

Challenges: We need to understand the host pathogen relationship better in order to find new and innovative ways to treat disease. We also need to identify the next disease areas where we believe we can have the maximum benefit for patients.

After hours: I enjoy hiking, bird watching and being outdoors. I am a keen - but not very good - cook, and I enjoy classical music and playing the piano.
